STEP 1- Stain Color

Choosing the stain color for your wood is an important choice. Think about the following:
  • Does it need to match something?
  • Do you want your paint colors to POP?
  • What paint colors will show on the sign that I want.
Details about stain colors-
  • Grey can come from really light to really dark. Varies based on how wood absorbs the stain. Part of using a natural product.
  • Honey maple can have dark knot holes. Colors really pop off this color.
  • Red mahogany can have difficulty when you want to use some red colors.
  • Aged oak has dark and lighter colored spots. 
  • Espresso is dark brown. Any dark color will have trouble showing on this.
  • Ebony/black can also vary from light black to solid black. Any dark color will have trouble showing.
